Our visit with Uncle Russ, Auntie Michelle and Lauren was such fun!

Girl's Day Out

Uncle Russ, Auntie Michelle and Lauren are here so we went down to San Diego to pick them up today. We went out for lunch and headed out to the mall in Escondido. Uncle Russ went back to the convention downtown so us girls headed up to my house. We're having a fun time catching up!

We all want to also wish Gram a happy birthday today. We love you very much!

Keepin' Busy

Just living life day to day and getting excited for daddy to come home. The first picture we just received from the day of the video teleconference. It was getting close to the end of our wait so I was a bit exhausted. Then, some fun times with Maxie in my bedroom and me pooped after all our play.

We're looking forward to visiting with Lauren, Auntie Michelle and Uncle Russ this weekend. Us girls are planning some retail therapy to lift our spirits!

Morning Surprise

Imagine mommy's surprise this morning when she walked into my bedroom and found me on my tummy and quite content. I've been doing a lot of practicing of rolling from back to front but my arm kept getting in the way. Before today, mommy had to help me with untucking my arm. Good thing Pop lowered my crib when he was here... I may just decide to sit up one of these days.

Eight and Four

I am eight months old today. Some of my favorite things to do include clapping my hands, sucking on my mini-spatula, petting Max, going for walks and listening to mommy read me my books. Although this is a still picture you can see that I am in the midst of a clapping fit. It makes me smile and giggle!

Daddy has been gone four months. We have three more to go so we have passed the halfway point. The time has gone fast and slow all at the same time. We are definitely looking forward to the day when daddy will be home.

Oceanside Harbor

We spent some time at the Oceanside Harbor today. There were a lot of tourists enjoying the weather and the ice cream shop. I just relaxed in my stroller while we made our way around the harbor and over to the beachfront. What a glorious day in southern California!

Fun in Colorado

Mommy and I had such a great time in Colorado. We went to a park one day that had a fountain with a wading area. I was able to sit on the edge and get my piggies wet. Grace and Ian got a further than I did in the water. Grace was wet from head to toe and Ian had a blast in the swing. I had my first time in the big girl swing but didn't really enjoy it too much. It was a little big so I had too much wiggle room.

Visiting with everyone was such fun! We had a lot of playtime on the floor with a lot of fun toys that grandma had. I learned how to clap with my hands open and worked on bending over and getting my leg under my bottom as my first step toward crawling. We got a lot of special pictures to remember the trip. Auntie may have to photoshop daddy into the pictures. Even though he's not in them we were thinking of him and prayed for him every day.

Miss Patriotic

Hope everyone had a Happy 4th of July! It was my first full day in Colorado and we had such fun. I made sure to wear my special dress to celebrate. We had a leisurely day, went shopping at an antique mall and had dinner with Uncle Jim and Aunt JoAnn. They came to visit with us from Chicago and will be here for a few days.

Today I am anxiously awaiting Grace and Ian so we can play with all of the fun toys that Grandma has at her house. Until then, I'm enjoying Grandma and Grandpa's undivided attention!
