Fun at the Fountain

We took Max for a walk tonight. There's a fountain in our neighborhood and it's a favorite place to congregate. The best part about it is leaning over the side and splashing my hand around in the water. What a great way to end the day.

Beach Time

We headed down to Malibu today and hit the beach. There was some beautiful scenery but I was most concerned about getting my toes into the surf. Unfortunately, mommy hadn't brought a change of clothes so I had to eat lunch in my cold, wet pants and sit in the car without any pants at all. Let this be a lesson to us all. We had a delicious meal at the Hideaway Cafe and definately couldn't beat the view.

Grandma's Visit

Grandma Boven flew in on Sunday and we're having such fun. We took a walk by the harbor yesterday morning. There are so many boats and birds to see and I have many comments about both. In the afternoon, we went to the pier to have a late lunch. There was a playground down on the beach so I was able to spend some time on the swing and slide. It was fun to have sand in between my toes! Today, we went to story and craft time at the Children's Museum. Mommy helped me with my sun project while I tried to use glue as hand lotion.

Reagan Library

Yesterday, we went to the Reagan Library in Simi Valley. It is positioned at the top of a hill and has 360 degree views. I was especially excited to see Air Force One since one of my new words is plane. We were able to tour through the plane but weren't allowed to take any pictures. Then, we headed to the back lawn to see a piece of the Berlin Wall. What amazing history! At the end of our tour we paid our respects to President Reagan at his grave site. The grounds around the Library are beautifully landscaped and so peaceful.

Hiking Spill

Daddy has taken the week off so we have been having fun with our 'stay-cation'. A little south of us and across the street from the rocky coast we found a hiking trail that accommodated my stroller. Most of the four mile journey I was content being pushed but I did have some time making my way down the trail. I had a little stumble and had dirt everywhere (as did my baby). Of course, mommy needed to take a picture before daddy cleaned me up. According to her it's a matter of photographic integrity. All in all we had a great time and enjoyed the scenery.

County Fair

We went to the fair yesterday! It was my first and will be, more than likely, my most photographed. I went on separate rides with mommy and daddy and then we all went on the Ferris wheel. It was pretty from the top with the ocean in the background. I saw chickens, rabbits, cows, goats and pigs but the pony ride was the highlight of the day! My pony's name was Ruby and she kept slowing down the whole line. The pony behind us kept nudging Ruby in the bottom to hurry up!

Pink Ipod

When mommy got back from the gym tonight I grabbed her Ipod and water bottle when she wasn't looking. Daddy showed me how to play the music and I actually left the ear buds alone long enough to listen to some tunes. We tried to share the music with Max but he just wiggled around until daddy let him go. I am happy to have it all to myself, it was hard to tear me away for bath time.

Love Spaghetti

Although the messiest of meals, mommy likes to give me spaghetti. I'm quite entertaining and it lets me practice with my fork. I'm even fine tuning my slurping capabilites. Much of the meal ends up in my bib pocket or on my face but it's well worth it.
