Binky Free

Mommy thought it was time to help me become completely binky free. I had given up the vice at naptime but was still quite dependant on it for bedtime. A few nights ago mommy showed me five binkys and each night, before bed, we took one out and talked about the fact that big girls don't use them. She explained that when those five were gone that was going to be it. I absolutely consider myself a big girl so want to act appropriately. Mommy geared up for a sleepless night but was pleased to wake up to the clock showing 6:30am. Since it takes 21 days to establish a new habit we may still have a few trying moments but mommy is so thrilled!

Enjoying the Deck

The weather has been beautiful here this week so we have been enjoying our new deck every afternoon. Max and I had a peaceful moment in the shade with two of my stuffed animals today. He doesn't quite know what to do with himself out there, the sound of his claws on the wood makes him quite skittish. I think mommy will get a bed for him sooner or later so he has a comfortable place of his own.

Tuna Anyone?

I thought Max would enjoy a morning snack so I cleared the tuna out of the pantry and set up a picnic for the two of us. I made sure we both had our own cans and spoons. For some reason Max wouldn't pretend to eat with me...maybe next time.

Gram and Pop's Visit

Gram and Pop just came to visit and we had such a wonderful time. I played a lot, enjoyed some time outside in the front yard, loved showing all my latest toys and took some walks. On Saturday the boys stayed at the house to work on the new deck and us girls went to Santa Barbara for the day. We had a great lunch at Joe's Cafe and did some shopping. I was sad to see them go and can't wait to see them again soon!
