Disneyland - Round Three

We rounded out our three-day passes at Disneyland yesterday. Mommy forgot the camera but we took a few pictures with daddy's phone. I got one of the two of them on the Mark Twain Steamboat. I picked a lot of our activities and ventured into my new world of roller coasters. Mommy's convinced I may be a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I mastered and loved those coasters, having just made the height requirements!

Fun with Family and Friends

We've had a fun couple of weeks...Gram and Pop came to stay with me while mommy and daddy went to Vegas to meet some friends. They all met for a 40th birthday celebration (one year early)! Back in California we did all sorts of great things together and Laurye came to visit with us on Sunday. She and Gram treated me to a pedicure that day. No surprise, I got the purple polish with glittery flowers on my big toes. What a treat for everyone!

Happy Mother's Day!

To start the festivities mommy and I had a day of beauty yesterday. Mommy's still trying to figure out why that means her face was covered in brown eyeshadow. Nonetheless we had a fun time. I got mommy some beautiful flowers, a pretty shirt, a huge balloon and breakfast in bed. Daddy and I are giving her some time to herself this afternoon to do some uninterrupted shopping.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all! I've started my day with a basket from the Easter bunny, followed by learning about Jesus at church and an egg hunt. This is my third year sharing this fun with my great friend Phoebe. Good times!

La Jolla Canyon

We headed down the coast today to La Jolla Canyon. There's a waterfall .8 miles down a trail and I was a trooper, in fact, I insisted on being leader of the pack. There were some times that daddy needed to reign in my enthusiasm for safety's sake but I just kept clicking along. We saw butterflies, lizards and a lot of flowers along the way. The last picture was the strangest flowering plant along the path. It looked like something out of a Dr. Seuss book.

Hello From Disneyland

As you can see from our photos, apparently, the phrase of the day was 'wave at the camera'. We went to Disney yesterday. The weather was beautiful and we're still a bit ahead of the summer rush. I've decided to see everything at the park you need at least three days. On this second day we were less concerned with Mickey, Minnie and princesses and focused more on Frontierland, Tomorrowland and New Orleans Square. There's still so much to see...good thing mommy has a birthday next month!

Daddy's Birthday

We had a nice birthday dinner for daddy tonight. Mommy and I made him cupcakes, chocolate with vanilla icing and I decorated the tops. They were delicious and I was happy to help blow out his candles. I also signed my first official birthday card. Daddy was quite impressed. I'm excited to celebrate his big day by a trip to Disneyland on Thursday! Can't wait to see Minnie!

Ocotillo Wells

This weekend we met some friends for camping and 4-wheeling in Ocotillo Wells. I played with my friends Emma and Julia, I hadn't seen them for over a year so I was thrilled to see them. It was toasty warm in the desert and the wind was blowing like a hairdryer. We loved it! Although we were camping in a tent we were fortunate to be with friends that had motor homes. It's the way to go. Daddy made bacon and eggs off the back of the truck the first morning. He's a great camp cook. We took off for some 4-wheeling in the Bronco and enjoyed some beautiful scenery.

Brooklynn's Birthday

Today we went to the park for my friend Brooklynn's birthday party. I met a lot of new kids and had fun celebrating and playing on the playground. I especially enjoyed being front and center to see what gifts Brooklynn got for her big day. We topped off the day with a pinata and cupcakes with chocolate and gummy worms on the top. It looked like worms digging out of the dirt! Great fun!

Home from Japan

Daddy's been in Japan for a couple weeks and got back safely this morning. We're so happy to be back together and have everyone safe and sound. He didn't witness any of the devastation of the earthquake or tsunami first hand but did have some anxious moments trying to verify plans on getting home. When all was said and done he was able to take his flight through Tokyo and was only delayed by one hour. Amazing!

He brought mommy and I some fun gifts which we love and were so excited about. Maybe I'll wear my new fashions for springing forward tonight!
