Welcome to Preschool

I loved my first day of preschool! I have a cubby, had a great snack, made new friends, had story/learning time and played outside. When mommy and daddy left I didn't even notice but I was so excited to share my day when I was picked up. Wednesday can't come soon enough!

Let's Go Boys!

There is a lot of excitement going on here in Oxnard these days because The Cowboys are back for their preseason football practice. They come for two weeks in August. The first day they were here they flew into Point Mugu and did a special autograph event for military members on base. I was able to meet some of the players which was tons of fun.

Yesterday daddy went to practice for a while, the practices are only about a mile from our house. He won a VIP pass for today's practice so mommy and I met him there. We watched from the end zone, got some additional autographs but the most exciting part of the day was meeting Jerry Jones. It made daddy's day which made us all smile.

Brown Eyeshadow

I can't understand why mommy didn't want me to use the brown eyeshadow yesterday, I thought it turned out beautifully today. You may be wondering why it migrated to mommy's forehead and nose ... I told her I was giving her a special crown. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Makeup Fun

With daddy gone for a few days, mommy and I have been spending a lot of quality girl time together. Today I had some fun with her makeup. I put eye shadow on both of us. Mommy asked that I not use the dark brown on her lids but I snuck a few spots here and there. I also went a little hog wild with the lip pencil. As you can tell, Max was very unimpressed with the whole thing. He's a boy... he doesn't understand.

Washing Hands?

Mommy was busy around the house and I told her I was going to wash my hands in the kitchen. I pulled up a chair and got to work. Needless to say, this wasn't what she had in mind. The bubbles got a little out of control but it was tons of fun!

Last Lesson

We had a fun time at lessons today. The teacher put a canoe in the pool and we floated all over the place. It didn't take much time for us to get our hands in the water for some splashing. We went to the deep end to practice all the strokes we had learned these past two weeks. I swam without any help from my teacher. Then I topped things off with two trips off the diving board... with a little help!

Little Pool Fun

I was able to play at the little pool again yesterday after my lessons. Things got a little crazy but you can see why this is my favorite place, plus Mommy's entertained by watching the complete chaos!

Swimming Lessons

I am loving swimming lessons this year. My class practices kicking, jumping and floating. We finally got our first day of sun today so I soaked it all in. The best part is, if I do a good job with my lessons, I get to play in the little pool afterward. That pool (1 ft deep) has all sorts of toys and a big fountain.

Happy 4th!

We had a great time watching fireworks last night. To avoid all the crowds of the harbor we opted for a prime viewing location on base and the comfort of our car when the wind picked up. Last year I was a little scared by all the loud noises. This year I loved watching until I decided they should be over, about 20 minutes into the 30 minute show, at which time I waited in the car with Max until the finale.

Toy Story 3

Mommy and daddy brought me to the movie theater for the very first time today. I even picked out a 'special outfit' for the occasion. We watched the newly released Toy Story 3. I was in charge of the tickets and got to pick my very own treat. I sat really still and stayed quiet the whole time, except for when I was sneaking Coke out of daddy's cup. I had a great time and at the end of the show I asked if we could watch it again.
