Big Bear Bronco Bash

We went to the Big Bear Bronco Bash this weekend and had a great time. There must have been at least 50 Broncos who came from all over the southwest. Daddy has been busy getting the truck ready for this weekend by installing the backseat and soft top so we could all be comfortable. We loaded up our lunch and hit the road. We joined about 10 other Bronco's on this trail and daddy went on one the next day with 35. Quite a sight to see!

By the time we got to the most difficult terrain I was asleep and stayed that way through all the toughest spots. I passed out so fast that I didn't even have time to take my hand out of my Cheetos bag. The other drivers, mommy and daddy were amazed. When we got to the top of the mountain we had a picnic lunch and did some exploring. The scenery was beautiful and the ride was lots of fun!

Big Bear Fun

One of my favorite things is to feed the local duckies! We had to drive around to find just the right spot because my usual spot was fenced off for some park construction. As you can see we finally figured out where they were hiding.

Mommy and I had a day of antiquing and I found this and other lovely hats in a shop. The store owners weren't too thrilled at my impromptu playtime but I was gearing up for the tea party we had at a local tea room later that day.

Of course a trip to Big Bear wouldn't be complete without a night of smores in the cabin... Something we all look forward to!

The last morning we were there we went to the Alpine Slide. Mommy and daddy took turns with me down the hill. The ski lift ride up was just as exciting as the ride down. Daddy even got some video on our last run of the day. Such a fun way to end a great weekend.

Mommy's Birthday

Yesterday was mommy's birthday and she had a great day. Daddy took us out for lunch at the Ventura Harbor then mommy and I changed into our swimsuits and headed across the street to the beach. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. We went to the Macaroni Grill for a birthday dessert in the evening, a lady sang 'Happy Birthday' in Italian. Mommy even let me help her blow out her candle!

Happy Mother's Day

Daddy and I woke up early to bring mommy breakfast in bed for her special day. I was in charge of the waffles while daddy made the rest, a muffin with peanut butter, bacon and eggs. A feast fit for a queen... we covered all our breakfast bases! The day was made even more special by the beautiful ring we bought for mommy and the free time we gave her in the afternoon.

Evening Bikeride

I've been scooting around on my bike for a year but have just started actually using the peddles and steering. Mommy and I have been practicing on our deck during the day but I wanted to show off my fine tuned skills to daddy. We went around the block TWICE. I never got off my bike and stayed on course... for the most part.

Vegas Highlights

We just spent some time with Gram and Pop in Las Vegas. I have more pictures than I know what to do with but here are some of the highlights. Mommy, Daddy and I went for a gondola ride through the canals at the Venetian Hotel, which is where we stayed. I met my great aunt Betty for the first time. She was in town for a few days and we were able to catch up with her at her hotel. I was a little shy but very excited to meet her. While we were downtown we saw the amazing light show on the four block canopy screen covering Freemont Street. Something I highly suggest if you're ever there. We also saw some light shows at The Wynn and the fountains at The Bellagio. We were all pleased to see that our hotel had a kiddie pool of just 1'2". I was quick to make some friends and it was a perfect way to play the day away with my family.

Busy Week

We had Vacation Bible School at our church this week. I was able to join in with the preschool class and had a blast! I learned three songs I performed in front of the church Friday night. The first two went well and I cried through the third. A little boy had taken my spot on stage beside my best friend Phoebe so I was, understandably, quite upset.

Then, this morning mommy ran in her first 10K. She is happy to report that she ran the entire way and finished in 1 hour and 16 minutes. She's feeling good today, we'll see about those legs tomorrow.

Latest Project

I've been helping to install a closet organizer for mommy and daddy. I enjoy a 'hand's on' approach so am always very eager to jump in the middle of things. They have been patient during my learning curve on painting, hammering and being an all around contruction assistant to daddy. The end project turned out great, mommy says it's time for some new clothes to fill the extra space!
